Our organization is deeply rooted in the contributions of the following people who inspired us to spark a change in our society.

Jean-Jacques Dessalines
Jean-Jacques Dessalines was among those who led the Haitian revolution, leading to the independence and sovereignty of Haiti. Upon gaining such independence, he became Haiti’s first ruler under the 1805 Constitution.

Toussaint Louverture
Toussaint Louverture is a famous leader of the Haitian revolution. He freed the black slaves in Haiti and emancipated them from French authority.

Martin Luther King
Martin Luther King is a well-known activist. He is famous for his role in leading the American civil rights movement, calling for equality regardless of race and skin color.

Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela led the revolution against apartheid. Apartheid is the racial discrimination and segregation of individuals in South Africa ranging from 1948 until the 1990s. He is also a political leader and became South Africa’s first black president.

Malcolm X
Malcolm X is a human rights activist. He fought and advocated the rights of black people in America.
